summer recap

The last few months have been slammed with an elopement trip, planning/throwing a going away party, a hot air balloon race, and moving states, on top of general life things. In other words, I’m still not getting much done creatively. I’m busy!!!

drafting up invitations

I did design my invitations (a stark reminder that graphic design is not my passion) and visited a bunch of museums and galleries which is something I don't do enough. I saw folk art and textiles at the Oconee History Museum in Walhalla, SC, and visited the Gibbs, and two exhibits at the Halsey Institute in Charleston.

I CAN BREATHE from Reynier Llanes’ Passages exhibit at the Gibbes Museum

Every summer I feel like I never do enough wallerin' outside in beautiful NC. This year, that feeling is hitting me extra hard. It's never enough but I've soaked up as much Southern sunshine as I could before moving nine hours away with a cat. But we made it to our new apartment– hello from Philadelphia!

Definitely feeling blue now that I'm actually out of North Carolina, but trying to stay optimistic & busy while finding a rhythm and exploring the city, hopefully next month brings a fuller post and actual sketchbook scans🪳🎨
